Golf Cart Rules
The Club rules of Caroline Golf Club are designed
for the safety and enjoyment of all our members, guests and employees.
Violation of any rule is grounds for immediate termination of membership
or playing privileges.
- All golfers must sign-in for
golf carts in the Pro Shop prior to beginning play.
- No more than two people shall share a cart. Only
licensed drivers (Valid state driver's license) shall be allowed to
operate a golf cart. This rule applies to club owned as well as privately
owned golf carts.
- Golf carts are to remain on the cart paths at all
times when the course has been designated "Cart Paths Only."
During these periods, no carts are allowed off the cart paths at any
time; fairways and rough are included. Carts are to be driven and
parked with all four wheels on the cart path.
- During normal circumstances when carts are allowed
on the course, carts are required to return to the paths and remain
on the paths in the vicinity of tees and greens. Carts are not permitted
within 100 feet of any green or tee; unless parked on the designated
cart path. Golfers are encouraged to utilize the "90 Degree"
approach to the use of paths and to use discretion and common sense.
When in doubt as to the application of this rule, choose the application
that most protects the golf course.
- During wet or adverse weather conditions, carts are
occasionally restricted to paths only. We enforce this policy vigorously
and violators will be asked to terminate play, levied a fine, or both.
When carts are restricted to paths only, intrusive use will not be
tolerated. Protecting our golf course is essential for the future
enjoyment of our members and guests.
- The golf course superintendent, his assistant or
the golf professional is authorized to determine when the golf course
is unfit to allow golf carts on to the fairways and rough.
- No unauthorized vehicles shall be driven on the
golf course grounds. Authorized vehicles include only golf carts and
maintenance equipment.
- Private golf carts are allowed for those members
who reside or own property in the Lake Caroline community. An annual
trail fee shall be charged at the beginning of each calendar year.
Members of the immediate family may ride at no extra charge with a
private cart owner. Any other rider must sign-in at the Pro Shop and
pay applicable charges. Private golf carts must be electric and white,
or off-white in color. No trailers will be allowed at the clubhouse
or on the golf course premises at any time.
